Disconnected evidence
The technical event, the tax rule, the document and the accounting consequence live in different systems.

The global tax compliance problem
The problem is not tax calculation. It is that tax operations are fragmented across ERP, procurement, commerce, master data, tax engines, middleware, authorities, accounting and audit.
The technical event, the tax rule, the document and the accounting consequence live in different systems.
Non-compliance is found after processing, rejection, a payment block or a failed posting.
Country mandates change faster than tightly coupled ERP customizations can follow.
Monitoring shows that something failed. It rarely explains the tax impact or the way out.
Product evolution
Understand where a tax flow failed and reconstruct the full transaction timeline.
Detect missing, inconsistent or non-compliant data before processing continues.
Coordinate systems, validations, decisions, exceptions and reprocessing across the flow.
Explain tax impact, identify likely root cause and propose governed remediation.
Determine tax with governed rules, evidence and scenario intelligence.
Deliver tax compliance and statutory reporting as a service.
What makes Griffin different
HTTP 400 returned by the integration endpoint.
Supplier invoice blocked. Ariba cXML tax data conflicts with the SAP tax code and TAXBRA determination. Posting and payment are at risk.
That difference — between an error and an explanation — is the product.
In development · Brazil
Griffin is being built around a high-friction reality: supplier invoices crossing Ariba, SAP and Brazilian tax localization.
Correlate Ariba cXML, SAP invoice data, tax codes, master data and fiscal status.
Compare payloads and find where technical and tax semantics diverged.
Explain business impact and present a governed remediation path.
Coordinate controlled retry and preserve the evidence trail.
Product architecture
Connectivity across ERP, procurement, commerce, tax engines and authorities.
Tax orchestration and semantic observability.
Master data intelligence for tax-ready data.
Governance, workflow and auditable tax decisions.
Global e-invoicing and statutory reporting.
Global trade compliance beyond domestic borders.
Determination, calculation and scenario simulation.
Built for Clean Core
SAP publishes the events and data Griffin needs. Griffin performs validation, orchestration and compliance work outside the core, and governed results return to SAP with evidence and traceability.
The route to market is SAP-centric. The product architecture is not.
Why the name
In mythology, the Griffin guards treasure — the union of the lion's strength and the eagle's far sight. Armstrong's own manifesto rests on the same pair, so the product carries the company's conviction in its name.
In a data ecosystem, the most valuable treasure is trust. Traditional tax tools were built to solve isolated parts of the problem. Griffin was designed to solve the structural one.
